1. ASPECTOS ESTRUTURAIS DE ESFERAS DE QUITOSANA/PVA RETICULADAS COM GLUTARALDEÍDO SUBMETIDAS A DIFERENTES TRATAMENTOS TÉRMICOS
Chitosan is a biopolymer derived from chitin and the most abundant polysaccharide in nature after cellulose. This biopolymer has been applied in different areas due its biodegradability and biocompatibility properties. Modifications of chitosan structure by cross-linking chemical agents can alter its physical, chemical, and morphological characteristics. The

2. INTERAÇÃO DA QUITOSANA COM SURFACTANTE E FENOL EM MEIO AQUOSO CINÉTICA, EQUILÍBRIO E CALORIMETRIA. / INTERACTION OF CHITOSAN WTH PHENOL AND SURFACTANT IN AQUEOUS SOLUTION KINETICS, EQUILIBRIUM AND CALORIMETRIC.

3. FORMULAÇÕES MATRICIAIS À BASE DE QUITOSANA: estudos de adsorção e liberação de corantes. / MATRIX FORMULATIONS BASED CHITOSAN: adsorption studies and release of dyes.
Spheres of chitosan were prepared and crosslinked with sodium tetraborate and the epoxy resin PY-340 to obtain the hybrid materials QUIT-BORAX and QUIT-EPOXI, respectively. The hybrid QUIT-EPOXI was reacted with sodium tetraborate to obtain the hybrid QUIT-EPOXI-BORAX. The spheres of raw chitosan and the new hybrid materials were characterized by determining

4. Spheres of gum of the cajueiro and quitosana for release of fÃrmacos / Esferas de goma do cajueiro e quitosana para liberaÃÃo de fÃrmacos
Cashew gum based beads were produced through interpenetrating polymer networks and polyelectrolyte complexation techniques. Beads of chitosan (CH) and cashew gum (CG)/CH were further crosslinked with genipin obtained from âgenipapoâ fruits. This crosslinking agent was characterized by proton and carbon nuclear magnetic resonance and infrared spectroscopy.
