1. First record of Brachyuran crab Rhinolambrus lippus (Lanchester, 1901) (Crustacea: Decapoda: Parthenopidae) from India
Abstract The present paper reports the occurrence of the rare parthenopid species Rhinolambrus lippus (Lanchester, 1901) for the first time from India. The species is so far reported from Malaysia, Djibouti and Madagascar.

2. Natural diet of Ocypode quadrata (Fabricius, 1787) (Crustacea, Decapoda, Brachyura) from the Northern Coast of São Paulo, Brazil
Abstract Decapod crustaceans have a wide variety of feeding habits, alternating among herbivory, predation, saprophagy, and filtration. The occupation of various trophic positions in the food web is a key feature in the evolution of the group. Thus, we analyzed the natural diet of the crab Ocypode quadrata (Fabricius, 1787), commonly known as the ghost crab

3. First record of the genus Eumunida Smith, 1883 (Crustacea, Decapoda, Eumunididae) from the southwestern Atlantic, with the description of a new species
Abstract Eumunida pictaSmith, 1883, was considered for over a century an amphi-Atlantic species and the only representative of the genus in the Atlantic Ocean, until being split into three species: E. picta sensu stricto (from the northwestern Atlantic), E. bellade Saint Laurent & Macpherson, 1990 and E. squamiferade Saint Laurent & Macpherson, 1990 (from th

4. Morphological sexual maturity of the freshwater anomuran crab Aegla parana (Crustacea, Decapoda, Aeglidae) from Negro River Sub-basin, Upper Iguaçu Basin, southern Brazil

5. Ovarian development and spawning of Macrobrachium amazonicum (Crustacea, Decapoda)

6. Malacoplax californiensis (Lockington, 1877) (Crustacea: Decapoda: Brachyura: Panopeidae) in the Gulf of California, Mexico
Abstract A series of specimens of Malacoplax californiensis (Lockington, 1877) is reported from the Gulf of California, significantly increasing the known localities for the otherwise rarely reported species from 3 to 12. Depth range is increased to 110‒114 m on the continental shelf. Environmental conditions associated with the crabs were: 12.4‒27.0°C;

7. Influence of environmental variables on seasonal abundance and relative growth of Macrobrachium amazonicum (Crustacea: Decapoda: Caridea): variations of a continental population

8. Comparative morphology of the stomach ossicles of four freshwater crabs species of Dilocarcinini (Crustacea, Decapoda, Trichodactylidae)
Abstract The morphology of the foregut ossicles of representatives of four genera of Dilocarcinini were described to assess the usefulness of the ossicles as possible morphological characters in studies on the intrafamilial relationships of Trichodactylidae. Stomachs of specimens of Dilocarcinus pagei Stimpson, 1861, D. septemdentatus (Herbst, 1783), Moreiro

9. Population size of Aegla longirostri Bond-Buckup and Buckup, 1994 (Crustacea, Decapoda, Anomura): comparison of methods with the mark-recapture technique in closed population
Abstract The aim of this study is to estimate the population size of Aegla longirostri Bond-Buckup and Buckup, 1994 in a subtropical low-order stream using the mark-recapture technique. We also tested if the Bayesian model is a promising estimator of population size. Data were collected in two periods, in spring 2010 (seven-day sampling) and in fall 2011(fiv

11. Biometrical and morphological analyses of Macrobrachium olfersii (Wiegmann, 1836) (Crustacea, Decapoda, Palaemonidae) embryos exposed to UVA and UVB radiation
ABSTRACT Macrobrachium olfersii (Wiegmann, 1836) is a prawn that lives in shallow and transparent freshwater in Southern Brazil. Aquatic organisms that inhabit these systems can be exposed to incident UV radiation. Many studies have demonstrated the effects of ultraviolet (UV) radiation on the development, survival rate, morphological abnormalities, and impa

12. Does the landscape surrounding streams affect the occurrence of freshwater crabs? A case study of the genus Aegla (Crustacea: Decapoda: Anomura) in subtropical basins
ABSTRACT Changes in the landscape where watersheds are located may affect the stream biota in different ways. In order to explore this idea, we collected freshwater crabs of the genus Aegla Leach, 1820 in subtropical region of southern Brazil. We also measured a number of landscape features and physico-chemical variables in the collection streams and surroun
