2. DETERMINAÇÃO SEQUENCIAL DE CROMO, TÁLIO, CÁDMIO, CHUMBO, COBRE E ANTIMÔNIO EM CONCENTRADO POLIELETROLÍTICO PARA HEMODIÁLISE POR VOLTAMETRIA DE REDISSOLUÇÃO ATRAVÉS DE UM GRADIENTE DE pH / SEQUENTIAL DETERMINATION OF CHROMIUM, THALLIUM, CADMIUM, LEAD, COPPER AND ANTIMONY IN SALINE HEMODIALYSIS CONCENTRATES BY STRIPPING VOLTAMMETRY USING ELECTROLYTE pH GRADIENT
As condições experimentais

3. DEVELOPMENT OF METHODOLOGIES FOR THE ARSENIC SPECIATION IN WATERS AND SALINE MATRICES BY ADSORPTIVE CATHODIC STRTIPPING VOLTAMMETRY / DESENVOLVIMENTO DE METODOLOGIAS PARA A ESPECIAÇÃO DE ARSÊNIO EM ÁGUAS E MATRIZE SALINAS EMPREGANDO VOLTAMETRIA ADSORTIVA DE REDISSOLUÇÃO CATÓDICA
The present work reports the development of methodologies for the arsenic speciation in waters and saline matrices by adsorptive cathodic stripping voltammetry (AdCSV). The determination of As(III) by AdCSV was investigated and optimized using the organic ligand sodium diethyldithiocarbamate (DDC) in acidic medium. The main experimental parameters that have

4. Concentration of Herpesviruses
A method has been developed for the concentration of herpesviruses by negative pressure ultrafiltration through dialysis tubing. The procedure results in high titer concentrates of unaggregated, morphologically intact viral particles with a virtually quantitative recovery of infectivity.

5. Stability of Rubella Complement-fixing Antigens
Various types of rubella complement-fixing (CF) antigen preparations derived from infected BHK-21 cell cultures were examined for stability to certain chemical and physical agents. Antigens studied included: infected culture fluids concentrated 100-fold, ether-treated fluid concentrates, alkaline buffer extracts of infected cells, and large- and small-partic

6. Isolation, Cultural Maintenance, and Taxonomy of a Sheath-Forming Strain of Leptothrix discophora and Characterization of Manganese-Oxidizing Activity Associated with the Sheath
Leptothrix discophora SP-6 was isolated from the outflow reservoir of an artificial iron seep. Its sheathforming phenotype was maintained by slow growth in a mineral salts-vitamin-pyruvate medium under minimal aeration at 20 to 25°C. A sheathless variant, SP-6(sl), was isolated from smooth colonies that appeared on spread plates after rapid growth of SP-6 i
