2. Embrittlement and Corrosion Decay of a Cast Duplex Stainless Steel
Duplex stainless steels (DSS) are Fe-Cr-Ni-Mo alloys, with low carbon content, which have a favorable combination of mechanical properties and corrosion resistance. These characteristics are mainly attributed to a dual phase and refined microstructure, typical of these alloys, consisting of similar amounts of ferrite and austenite. For this reason, DSS are w

3. Syntheses and Fundamental Properties of Cr/Mo-Adoped Fe-Rich Alloys With Metastable Phase and Saturation Magnetization Near 1.9 T
The Fe-rich alloys of Fe90-xSi5B5Mx (M= Cr or Mo; x=1, 2) are synthesized in the present study. The as-spun structure mainly consists of bcc phase plus a minor amount of metastable phase (Fe3B and/or Fe23B6). Comparing with the base alloy Fe90Si5B5, the corrosion resistance is improved significantly due to the formation of the passive film. Saturation magnet

4. Series of Nanocrystalline NiCoAlFe(Cr, Cu, Mo, Ti) High-Entropy Alloys produced by Mechanical Alloying
Abstract The mechanical alloying technique was employed to produce series of high entropy alloys, combining in equiatomic percentage Al, Co, Cr, Cu, Fe, Mo, Ni and Ti. Milling times were 0, 10, 20 and 30 h, and experiments were performed in a high energy ball mill (SPEX-8000M) under argon atmosphere. The structural and microstructural changes due to mechanic

5. Comportamiento Tribológico y Microestructural en Recubrimientos Aplicados por GTAW y HVOF (Proceso Térmico de Espreado) y Usado en Recuperación de Aceros Grado Herramienta AISI/SAE D2
Abstract The Fe-Cr-Mo alloys are use in covers to protect the components that are under wear and corrosion. The high velocity thermo spray covering by HVOF (high velocity oxi-fuel) in Fe-Cr-Mo alloys has reported as a good result in projection fields for the steel tool grade for cold work. The HOVF is an attractive method to apply covering and recuperate dia

6. Corrosion resistance and glass forming ability of Fe47Co7Cr15M9Si5B15Y2 (M=Mo, Nb) amorphous alloys
In the present work the effect of substituting Mo with Nb on the glass forming ability and corrosion resistance of Fe-Co-Cr-M-Si-B-Y (M=Mo, Nb) ribbons with high corrosion resistance is investigated. The X-ray powder diffraction pattern indicates that the alloy containing both Nb and Mo presented greater glass forming ability than the alloy containing either

7. Naphthenic corrosion resistance, mechanical properties and microstructure evolution of experimental Cr-Mo steels with high Mo content
One method to face the effects of naphthenic acid corrosion in petroleun refining plants is to use alloys with good resistance to this kind of corrosion. For this purpose, molybdenum additions to chromium containing steels are specially recommended. In this work, experimental Fe-9Cr-xMo (x = 5, 7 and 9 wt. (%)) ingots were cast, forged and hot rolled before

8. Termodinâmica de primeiros princípios aplicada a ligas de metais de transição / Thermodynamics of first principles applied to alloys of transition metals

9. Estudo da Estrutura Local dos SÃtios de Ferro em Ligas FeCrMo por Espectroscopia MÃssbauer e DifraÃÃo de Raios -X / Study of the local structure of iron sites in Fe-Cr-Mo alloys by MÃssbauer Spectroscopy and X-ray Diffraction
