1. FINITE ELEMENTS WITH SPLINE FUNCTIONS APPLIED TO STRUCTURAL DYNAMICS AND INSTABILITY / ELEMENTOS FINITOS COM FUNÇÕES SPLINE PARA INSTABILIDADE E DINÂMICA DE ESTRUTURAS
The present work presents a subparametric finite element model with spline displacement functions, implemented for static, dynamic and instability analysis of folded plates, thin-walled beams, box girders, and elongated structures such as bridges and structural shapes. A drilling degree of freedom (rotation about an axis perpendicular to the plane of the ele

2. Expressão da proteína do envelope do vírus da Febre Amarela em células de inseto
Yellow fever is an haemorrhagic disease caused by a virus that belongs to the genus Flavivirus (Flaviviridae family) and is transmitted by mosquitoes. It is a positive- sense, single-stranded, enveloped RNA virus, and its genome consists of 10,862 nucleotides coding for a single ORF of 10,233 nucleotides. This ORF encodes three structural proteins (capsid, p

3. COMPORTAMENTO CRÍTICO E PÓS-CRÍTICO DE PLACAS DOBRADAS / BUCKLING AND POST-BUCKLING BEHAVIOR OF FOLDED PLATES

4. Analysis of the behavior of steel plate panels as structural and fence elements / Análise do comportamento de painéis de chapas de aço como elementos estruturais e de vedação
This research presents a proposal of constructive system on folded thin steel plates forming pre-manufactured panels, which are used as structural and fence elements of small popular houses, with the aim of having an efficient construction and low cost alternative. For the study of the behavior structural of panels, it is made initially a structure presizing

5. Repair of thermal damage to the Escherichia coli nucleoid.
The folded chromosome or nucleoid of Escherichia coli was analyzed by low-speed sedimentation in neutral sucrose gradients after heat treatment (30 min at 50 degrees C) and subsequent incubation of cells at 37 degrees C for various times. Heat treatment resulted in in vivo association of the nucleoids with cellular protein and in an increase in sedimentation
