1. Assessment of Metabolism of the Eastern Oyster and Eastern Elliptio Using NMR Spectroscopy
Metabolites are known to characterize the functional responses of a cell. Therefore, a quantitative measurement of metabolite profiles can provide insight into the underlying effect of genetic or environmental actions on cell metabolism. It follows then that the study of the metabolite profiles of bivalve mollusks, such as oysters, can be particularly worthw

2. Application of a Quantitative HPLC-ESI-MS/MS Method for Flavonoids in Different Vegetables Matrices
Plant flavonoids have been increasingly studied for its importance in plant metabolism, inter-species interactions and human health-promoting effects. Each botanical species has a distinct flavonoid profile, and as such, this work aimed to develop and apply a high-performance liquid chromatography coupled to electrospray ionization tandem mass spectrometry (

3. Waterlogging-induced changes in fermentative metabolism in roots and nodules of soybean genotypes
Waterlogging blocks the oxygen supply to the root system which inhibits respiration, and greatly reduces the energy status of cells that affect important metabolic processes. This study evaluated fermentative metabolism and carbohydrate contents in the root system of two soybean (Glycine max L. Merril) genotypes under hypoxic and post-hypoxic conditions. Nod

4. Analysis of the chemical components of hydatid fluid from Echinococcus granulosus
Introduction The aim of this study was to explore the environment of Echinococcus granulosus (E. granulosus) protoscolices and their relationship with their host. Methods Proteins from the hydatid-cyst fluid (HCF) from E. granulosus were identified by proteomics. An inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometer (ICP-AES) was used to determine

5. Effect of salt on the growth and metabolism of Glycine max
Soybean plants cultivated with 50, 100 and 200 mM of NaCl, revealed that root growth was less affected by salinity than shoots. Salinity led to a reduction in leaf area and an increase in water content of the roots. These factors could contribute to the adaptation of the plant, improving its hydration. Although nitrate and free amino acid levels were reduced

6. Metabolismo fermentativo em raízes e nódulos de soja sob condições de hipoxia e pós-hipoxia / Fermentative metabolism in soybean roots and nodules under hypoxia and post-hypoxia conditions / Metabolismo fermentativo em raízes e nódulos de soja sob condições de hipoxia e pós-hipoxia / Fermentative metabolism in soybean roots and nodules under hypoxia and post-hypoxia conditions

7. Classification of brain tumor extracts by high resolution ¹H MRS using partial least squares discriminant analysis
High resolution proton nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (¹H MRS) can be used to detect biochemical changes in vitro caused by distinct pathologies. It can reveal distinct metabolic profiles of brain tumors although the accurate analysis and classification of different spectra remains a challenge. In this study, the pattern recognition method partial

12. Efeito do sal no crescimento e metabolismo de plantas de Glycine max L., cv. IAC 17 / Effect on salt in the groth and metabolism of Glycine max L., cv. IAC 17
