1. Lycaenid caterpillars (Lepidoptera, Lycaenidae) eating flowers of Dalea pennellii var. chilensis (Fabaceae) in the northern Chilean Andes
Lycaenid caterpillars (Lepidoptera, Lycaenidae) eating flowers of Dalea pennellii var. chilensis (Fabaceae) in the northern Chilean Andes. The shrub Dalea pennellii var. chilensis (Fabaceae) is reported for the first time as a host plant for three Neotropical Polyommatini (Lepidoptera, Lycaenidae, Polyommatinae): Hemiargus ramon (Dognin, 1887), Leptotes trig

2. Morfologia externa do adulto de Hemiargus hanno (Lepidoptera, Lycaenidae, Polyommatinae, Polyommatini): II.

4. Notes on the last instar larva and pupa of Hemiargus hanno (Stoll) (Lepidoptera, Lycaenidae, Polyommatinae)
Larvae of Hemiargus hanno (Stoll, 1790) (Lepidoptera, Lycaenidae, Polyommatinae) are for the first time reported to be attended under field conditions by ants of the formicine genus Brachymyrmex Mayr, 1868 (Myrmelachistini). Structural features of the last instar larva and pupa of H. hanno are described and illustrated with the aid of scanning electron micro

5. Morfologia externa do adulto de Hemiargus hanno (Stoll) (Lepidoptera, Lycaenidae, Polyommatinae, Polyommatini): I. cabeça
This is the first of a series of contributions concerning exoskeletal morphology of neotropical lycaenid butterflies (blues and hairstreaks). The cephalic capsule morphology of Hemiargus hanno (Stoll, 1790) is herein presented with drawings and SEM photographs.

6. Esterase Polymorphism in the Butterfly Hemiargus isola Stability in a Variable Environment
A dimeric esterase of a lycaenid butterfly shows rich, electrophoretically-detectable variation in natural populations in Texas. This isozyme variation is controlled by multiple alleles at an autosomal locus (Es-d). In each population sampled there are 9-14 alleles, two of which (Es-d100 and Es-d80) predominate and form about 84% of the gene pool. Against th
