1. Determinantes virais envolvidos na adaptabilidade diferencial de dois begomovírus em tomateiro e Nicotiana benthamiana / Viral determinants involves in the differential adaptation of two begomovirus in tomato and Nicotiana benthamiana
Begomoviruses (family Geminiviridae) have a genome composed of a one or two components of circular, single-stranded DNA and infect dicotyledoneous plants. Symptoms induced by the begomovirus Tomato yellow spot virus (ToYSV) in tomato and Nicotiana benthamiana are more severe and appear earlier compared to those induced by Tomato rugose mosaic virus (ToRMV).

2. Estudo da interação do Tomato yellow vein streak virus (ToYVSV) e seu vetor Bemisia tabaci biótipo B e identificação de hospedeiras alternativas do vírus / Study on the interaction between Tomato yellow vein streak virus (ToYVSV) and Bemisia tabaci biotype B and identification of alternative hosts for the virus.
Tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum) has been cultivated in various parts of Brazil almost during the entire year, which provides favorable conditions for the incidence of innumerous diseases, including those caused by viruses. Among the virus diseases responsible for yield losses on tomato crops are those caused by species in the genus Begomovirus, family Gemin

3. Caracterização de dois begomovírus (Tomato severe rugose virus e Tomato yellow vein streak virus) que infectam tomateiro e obtenção de clones infecciosos / Characterization of two begomoviruses (Tomato severe rugose virus and Tomato yellow vein streak virus) that infect tomato and production of infectious clones
The genus Begomovirus (family Geminiviridae) includes viruses with a genome comprised of one or two molecules of circular, single-stranded DNA, transmitted to dicot species by the whitefly Bemisia tabaci. In Brazil, after the introduction of the B biotype of B. tabaci in the early 1990s, the incidence of begomoviruses in tomato has become frequent, with seve

4. Estudo dos mecanismos envolvidos na adaptabilidade diferencial de dois begomovírus em tomateiro e Nicotiana benthamiana / Study of the mechanisms involved in the diferential adaptability of two begomoviruses to tomato and Nicotiana benthamiana
Begomoviruses belong to the family Geminiviridae, which includes viruses with a circular, single-stranded DNA genome encapsidated in twinned icosahedral particles. Begomoviruses are transmitted by the whitefly Bemisia tabaci, and cause serious diseases in several economically important crops, mostly in tropical and subtropical regions. In Brazil, a viral com

5. Molecular and biological characterization of a begomovirus isolated from tomato, Lycopersicon esculentum Mill. in the state of Goiás and its interaction with the vector Bemisia argentifolii Bellows &Perring / Caracterização molecular e biológica de um begomovírus isolado de tomateiro, Lycopersicon esculentum Mill., no estado de Goiás e sua interação com o vetor Bemisia argentifolii Bellows &Perring
The whitefly-transmitted viruses from the family Geminiviridae, genus Begomovirus, have been reported as an economically important pathogen group that affect important crops in tropical and subtropical countries. Since the beginning of the 1980 decade, the occurrence of the whitefly associated to Begomovirus infection has drastically increased worldwide. In
