1. Aquisição e resistência a mudança dos operantes variar e repetir
The aim of the present study was to investigate the effects of extinction and independent reinforcers upon the acquisition and resistance to change of variation and repetition in humans. College students were required to emit sequences of responses to produce reinforcers according to the criterion of the phase in effect (presented in an ABA or a BAB design).

2. Response dependent and response independent environmental changes: a study on the effects of contiguity versus contingency / Alterações ambientais dependentes e independentes da resposta: uma investigação dos efeitos de contigüidade versus contingência
The effects of presenting stimuli that are well established as reinforcers independently of responding have been studied under two different perspectives. On the first perspective, through a procedure called accidentally reinforcement, stimuli are presented non-contingently, resulting in the accidental selection of a response, an effect called superstition.

3. Motivational Influences on Performance maintained by Food Reinforcement
In Study 1, we examined the independent effects of reinforcer consumption during sessions and meal consumption prior to sessions on performance maintained by food reinforcement. Nine individuals with developmental disabilities participated. On alternate days, a preferred edible item was delivered during (a) seven sessions conducted before lunch (repeated-rei

4. A Test Of The Formal And Modern Theories Of Matching
The present study tested a formal, or purely mathematical, theory of matching, and a modern account derived by McDowell (1986) that incorporates deviations from strict matching—bias and sensitivity. Six humans pressed a lever for monetary reinforcers on five concurrent variable interval (VI) schedules of reinforcement. All schedules were presented during e

5. Rate Of Conditioned Reinforcement Affects Observing Rate But Not Resistance To Change
The effects of rate of conditioned reinforcement on the resistance to change of operant behavior have not been examined. In addition, the effects of rate of conditioned reinforcement on the rate of observing have not been adequately examined. In two experiments, a multiple schedule of observing-response procedures was used to examine the effects of rate of c
