1. Leaf plasticity in successive selection cycles of 'Saracura' maize in response to periodic soil flooding.
Abstract ? The objective of this work was to assess the effect of successive selection cycles on leaf plasticity of 'Saracura' maize BRS-4154 under periodical flooding in field conditions. Soil flooding started at the six-leaf stage with the application of a 20-cm depth water layer three times a week. At flowering, samples of leaves were collected and fixed.

3. INTERMITTENT AND CONTINUOS FLOODING IN RICE: WATER USE, AGRONOMIC EFFICIENCY AND IMAZETHAPYR, IMAZAPIC AND FIPRONIL DISSIPATION / IRRIGAÇÃO CONTÍNUA E INTERMITENTE EM ARROZ IRRIGADO: USO DE ÁGUA, EFICIÊNCIA AGRONÔMICA E DISSIPAÇÃO DE IMAZETHAPYR, IMAZAPIC E FIPRONIL
Every anthropogenic activity causes environmental impact in some extent. Rice paddy fields area are pointed out as an activity with high potential of pollution due to the large amount of water used to maintain the flooding and the intensive use of pesticides and nutrients that can be transported to the environment. Though, there are other irrigation manageme

Although every single plant needs a certain amount of water, the excess around roots can cause severe injuries and even death of most crops. Soil flooding is one of the most important factors which affects maize crop production and development on tropical and subtropical regions. Excess of water blocks the oxygen transfer and others gases from soil to atmosp

5. Estratigrafia de sequências do intervalo aptiano ao albino na Bacia do Araripe, NE do Brasil / Estratigrafia de sequências do intervalo aptiano ao albino na Bacia do Araripe, NE do Brasil
This study has as a main objective to make a detailed stratigraphic analysis of the Aptian-Albian interval in the east part of Araripe Basin, NE of Brazil which correspond, litostratigraphically, to Rio Da Batateira, Crato, Ipubi and Romualdo formations. The stratigraphic analysis was based on three different stages, the 1D, 2D and 3D analysis; these ones we
