1. Spectrophotometric Determination of Allura Red AC and Tartrazine in Food Products Using Hydrophobic Deep Eutectic Solvents as an Environmentally Sustainable Micro-Extractor
This paper reports the application of hydrophobic deep eutectic solvents (HDES) as an environmentally friendly alternative for liquid-phase microextraction (LPME) of Allura Red AC and Tartrazine in food products and the spectrophotometric determination of these analytes. The HDES used in this work were prepared by mixing octanoic acid (OctAc) or decanoic aci

2. The Clinical Course of Takotsubo Syndrome Diagnosed According to the InterTAK Criteria
Abstract Background There has been an increase in the number of cases of Takotsubo syndrome (TTS) and of scientific publications on the theme over the last years. However, little is known about the status of this disease in Brazilian hospitals. Objective To assess mortality and major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) during hospitalization and follow-up

3. On the creep behavior of carbon/epoxy non-crimp fabric composites
The use of composites in structural applications requires the study of specific properties to ensure that these materials are safe and an excellent option to replace some metals, for example. In the present study, vacuum assisted resin transfer molding (VARTM) was used prior to obtain carbon/epoxy non-crimp fabric composites. Dynamic mechanical analysis and

4. The influence of previous robotic experience in the initial learning curve of laparoscopic radical prostatectomy
ABSTRACT Introduction: This study analyzed the impact of the experience with Robotic-Assisted Laparoscopic Prostatectomy (RALP) on the initial experience with Laparoscopic Radical Prostatectomy (LRP) by examining perioperative results and early outcomes of 110 patients. LRPs were performed by two ro-botic fellowship trained surgeons with daily practice in R

5. Predicting outcomes in partial nephrectomy: is the renal score useful?
ABSTRACT Introduction and Objective The R.E.N.A.L. nephrometry system (RNS) has been validated in multiple open, laparoscopic and robotic partial nephrectomy series. The aim of this study was to test the accuracy of R.E.N.A.L. nephrometry system in predicting perioperative outcomes in surgical treatment of kidney tumors <7.0cm in a prospective model. Mate

6. Agreement between BMI and body fat obesity definitions in a physically active population
ABSTRACT Objectives Body mass index (BMI) is a widely used proxy of body composition (BC). Concerns exist regarding possible BMI misclassification among active populations. We compared the prevalence of obesity as categorized by BMI or by skinfold estimates of body fat percentage (BF%) in a physically active population. Subjects and methods 3,822 militar

7. CONSTRUÇÃO DA CURVA DE EQUILÍBRIO LÍQUIDO-VAPOR USANDO UMA EQUAÇÃO DE ESTADO CÚBICA: USO DO EXCEL NO ENSINO DE FÍSICO-QUÍMICA
Cubic equations of state are able to predict the liquid-vapour coexistence curve of volatile substances. However, this property is rarely used to teach Physical Chemistry because solving the resulting equations require numerical technics and many mathematical operations. In this report was shown how the interactive method for finding the root of an equation

8. Effect of the loading of organomodified clays on the thermal and mechanical properties of a model dental resin
Experimental dental resins composed of triethyleneglycol dimethacrylate, urethane dimethacrylate, ethoxylated bisphenol-A-dimethacrylate and bisphenol A glycidyl methacrylate containing an organoclay as filler were prepared by photopolymerization. The addition of organoclay fillers results in slower polymerization rates (0.59 and 0.24 mol L-1 min-1, for the

9. Radio-Wave Propagation Model for UHF Band in Different Climatic Conditions with Dyadic Green’s Function
AbstractThis article proposes a deterministic radio propagation model using dyadic Green's function to predict the value of the electric field. Dyadic is offered as an efficient mathematical tool which has symbolic simplicity and robustness, as well as taking account of the anisotropy of the medium. The proposed model is an important contribution for the UHF

10. Cathodic cage plasma nitriding of austenitic stainless steel (AISI 316): influence of the working pressure on the nitrided layers properties
In this work, the influence of working pressure on the characteristics of the layers produced by the nitriding treatment on the AISI 316 austenitic stainless steel surface using the Cathodic Cage Plasma Nitriding technique (CCPN) is assessed. The treatments were carried out at a temperature of 723 K for 5 hours under working pressures of 120, 250 and 500 Pa.

11. Modeling of the fixed - bed adsorption of carbon dioxide and a carbon dioxide - nitrogen mixture on zeolite 13X
In this study, the fixed - bed adsorption of carbon dioxide and a carbon dioxide - nitrogen mixture on zeolite 13X was investigated. The adsorption equilibrium and breakthrough curves were determined at different temperatures - 301 - 306 K, 323 K, 373 K and 423 K. A model based on the LDF approximation for the mass transfer, considering the energy and moment

12. Anisotropic-dielectric-loaded corrugated guide
In this paper, the boundary condition characteristic equation of the anisotropic-dielectric-loaded corrugated guide are developed. Dispersion curves of hybrid modes generated by the characteristic equation are presented and discussed. This paper also presents a technique to reduce the relative permittivity and create uniaxial anisotropy from isotropic homoge
