1. Deterministic partially self-avoiding walks: analytical results for the effect of tourists memory in the exploration of disordered media / Caminhadas deterministas parcialmente auto-repulsivas: resultados analíticos para o efeito da memória do turista na exploração de meios desordenados

2. Randon Boolean networks in the presence of a damaging agent / DinÃmica de redes Booleanas aleatÃrias na presenÃa de agente danificador.

3. Tridimensional modelling of groundwater flow in an unconfined, shallow aquifer in Parque Ecologico Tiete, São Paulo / Modelagem tridimensional de fluxo de águas subterrâneas em um aqüífero livre e raso: aplicação no Parque Ecológico do Tietê - São Paulo
The importance of studying unconfined and shallow aquifers is verified when taking into account that these aquifers are highly vulnerable to contamination and that they are often located under heavily populated regions. A detailed three-dimensional and transient model, which represents the groundwater flow in an area of an unconfined and shallow aquifer at t

4. Analytical results for the statistical distribution related to a memoryless deterministic walk: Dimensionality effect and mean-field models / "Resultados analíticos para as distribuições estatísticas relacionadas à caminhada determinista do turista sem memória: efeito da dimensionalidade do sistema e modelos de campo médio".
Consider a medium characterized by $N$ points whose coordinates are randomly generated by a uniform distribution along the unitary edges of a $d$-dimensional hypercube. A walker leaves from each point of this disordered medium and moves according to the deterministic rule to go the nearest point which has not been visited in the preceding $mu$ steps. This pr

5. Model for Constraint and Control in Biochemical Networks
A model is proposed for biochemical networks which takes into account substrate and modifier effects on enzyme activity and the different time scales on which the relevant processes occur. Sources of global constraint that can be utilized in metabolic regulation are indicated, and the relation of the model to the experiments of Kauffman on switching networks

6. Genetic networks with canalyzing Boolean rules are always stable
We determine stability and attractor properties of random Boolean genetic network models with canalyzing rules for a variety of architectures. For all power law, exponential, and flat in-degree distributions, we find that the networks are dynamically stable. Furthermore, for architectures with few inputs per node, the dynamics of the networks is close to cri

7. Insulin resistance in uremia. Characterization of insulin action, binding, and processing in isolated hepatocytes from chronic uremic rats.
We have developed a model in the rat that leads to a predictable degree of severe uremia to study the role of the liver in the insulin-resistant state of uremia. The uremic animals were euglycemic and had increased serum immunoreactive insulin when compared with their pair-fed controls. Insulin action, binding, internalization, and degradation were character
