1. Kinetics of Lumefantrine Thermal Decomposition Employing Isoconversional Models and Artificial Neural Network
Thermal analysis can be used to determine shelf-life and kinetic parameters in pharmaceutical systems. This work investigates the kinetic of lumefantrine thermal decomposition, an antimalarial, using non-isothermal and isothermal experimental data. The non-isothermal conditions are analyzed applying Vyazovkin method, while isothermal conditions employ models

2. Multistage Phase Decomposition Behavior and Kinetics for Zr65Ni30Pd5 Ternary Amorphous Alloy
We have examined heating-induced phase decomposition and its kinetics for Zr65Ni30Pd5 amorphous alloy in an argon atmosphere. The amorphous phase decomposes through three stages in the order of amorphous → icosahedral quasicrystal (I-Q) + amorphous → approximant cubic Zr2(Ni,Pd) → tetragonal Zr2Ni + tetragonal Zr2Pd phases. The approximant crystalline

3. Characterization of Austenite Decomposition in Steels with Different Chemical Concepts and High Potential to Manufacture Seamed Pipes for Oil and Gas Industry
This work presents the characterization of austenite decomposition kinetics in two steels during continuous cooling considering non-deformed austenite grains. Two different chemical concepts of steels were evaluated: low carbon - high manganese and a relatively new concept based on low carbon - low manganese - high niobium contents. Dilatometric experiments,

4. DETERMINAÇÃO DOS PARÂMETROS CINÉTICOS E SIMULAÇÃO COMPUTACIONAL DO PERFLUOROPOLIÉTER (PFPE) EMPREGADO COMO LUBRIFICANTE SINTÉTICO
This work aims to determine the kinetic parameters of the thermal decomposition of a lubricating grease based on perfluoropolyether (PFPE) and the computational simulation of this decomposition. The determination of kinetic parameters of thermal decomposition was done by thermal analysis using thermogravimetry (TG) at different heating rates (β) of 10, 15 a

5. Non-isothermal decomposition kinetics of conductive polyaniline and its derivatives
Abstract The non-isothermal decomposition kinetics of conductive polyaniline (PANI) and its derivatives, poly(o-methoxyaniline) (POMA) and poly(o-ethoxyaniline) (POEA), was investigated by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), under inert and oxidative atmospheres, using Flynn-Wall-Ozawa’s approach to assess the kinetic parameters of the decomposition process

6. REACTION KINETICS OF OZONE GAS IN WHEAT FLOUR
ABSTRACT The implementation of the ozonation process in the milling industry to control insect pests and improve wheat flour qualities requires understanding the behavior of ozone during ozonation. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate the reaction kinetics of ozone gas in wheat flour. Wheat flour ozonation at concentrations of 0.54, 1.07, 1.61 and 2.14

7. Numerical Predictions for the Thermal History, Microstructure and Hardness Distributions at the HAZ during Welding of Low Alloy Steels
A phenomenological model to predict the multiphase diffusional decomposition of the austenite in low-alloy hypoeutectoid steels was adapted for welding conditions. The kinetics of phase transformations coupled with the heat transfer phenomena was numerically implemented using the Finite Volume Method (FVM) in a computational code. The model was applied to si

8. Kinetic Parameters of Soot Oxidation Catalyzed by Nanosized ZnO-CeO2 Solids
Catalytic combustion of soot was performed over ZnO:CeO2 catalysts obtained via a non‑alkoxide sol-gel route. Different kinetics parameters were calculated through thermal analyses, thus, enabling the correlation between the experimental data and the decomposition mechanisms probably associated with the soot decomposition in each case.

9. Comparison of Kinetic Study of CTMA+ Removal of Molecular Sieve Ti-MCM-41 Synthesized with Natural and Commercial Silica
This work aimed to determine and compare the apparent activation energy, involved in thermal decomposition of CTMA+ from the pores of Ti-MCM-41 synthesized by two different source of silica in order to evaluate their influence in the template removal. The molecular sieves Ti-MCM-41 were synthesized using rice husk ash (RHA), as alternative low cost source of

10. Continuous catalyst-free production of esters from Jatropha curcas L. oil under supercritical ethanol
In the present study, the transesterification of Jatropha oil in a continuous catalyst-free process using supercritical ethanol was investigated. Experiments were performed in a packed-bed tubular reactor by studying the effect on the reaction of temperature, pressure, water and cosolvent (n-hexane) concentrations, keeping the oil:ethanol mass ratio fixed at

12. Evaluation of decomposition kinetics of poly (ether-ether-ketone) by thermogravimetric analysis
The non-isothermal thermogravimetric methods have been used extensively for the determination of kinetic parameters in polymers. The poly (ether ketones) are used as matrix in advanced high performance composites due its high thermal stability, excellent environmental performance and superior mechanical properties. In this work, the non-isothermal decomposit
