1. The network of intertextual relations in Naipaul's half a life and magic seeds

2. Aplicação de Análise Multivariada de dados a Espectroscopia de Alta Resolução em Sólidos por Ressonância Magnética Nuclear. / Multivariate data analysis applied to high resolution spectroscopy in solids by nuclear magnetic resonance.
High Resolution Solid-State 13C-NMR Spectroscopy techniques Cross Polarization, Decoupling and Magic Angle Spinning, were employed in this work for the study of the chemical composition of seeds and food. A Multivariate Analysis procedure was also employed in the development of a calibration and prediction method for the determination of the components conte

4. Water Uptake and Distribution in Germinating Tobacco Seeds Investigated in Vivo by Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Imaging1[w]
The regulation of water uptake of germinating tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum) seeds was studied spatially and temporally by in vivo 1H-nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) microimaging and 1H-magic angle spinning NMR spectroscopy. These nondestructive state-of-the-art methods showed that water distribution in the water uptake phases II and III is inhomogeneous. The

5. V-Amylose at atomic resolution: X-ray structure of a cycloamylose with 26 glucose residues (cyclomaltohexaicosaose)
The amylose fraction of starch occurs in double-helical A- and B-amyloses and the single-helical V-amylose. The latter contains a channel-like central cavity that is able to include molecules, “iodine’s blue” being the best-known representative. Molecular models of these amylose forms have been deduced by solid state 13C cross-polarization/magic angle
