1. Vertex structures in representation theory of Lie algebras / Estruturas de Vertex em teoria de representações de álgebras de Lie
Following the results of [BBFK11], our work starts analyzing (for bsl(n;C)) if we can obtain J-imaginary Verma modules using similar representations used by Cox in [Cox05]. We did it for n = 2 and after, for the general case. The next step was the study of J-intermediate Wakimoto modules, following the ideas of [CF04] and [CF05]. To finish, for affine sl(2;C

2. Álgebras bisseriais especiais / Special biserial algebras
Special biserial algebras are a class of algebras that appear in many contexts. Butler and Ringel [6] made a description of indecomposable modules and irreducible morphisms of algebras string, a subclass of special biserial algebras. We show that special biserial algebras which are not string, have only one module projective-injective indecomposable for each

3. Complexidade de Módulos / Complexity of Modules

4. Reticulados obtidos por colagem / Lattices obtained by collage

5. Discriminante da potÃncia de um nÃmero algÃbrico / On the discriminant of the power of an algebraic number

6. Root system and representation of quivers / Sistema de raizes e representações de quivers
In this work, we define quivers and their representations, and discuss how the category of modules over an arbitrary connected associative algebra can be associated to the category of representations of a quiver. We also study the root system of the Cartan quadratic form associated to a quiver, which is bijective with the set of dimension vectors for which a

8. Módulos tipo Verma sobre álgebra TKK afim estendida / Verma type module over an extended affine TKK algebra.
The extended affine TKK Lie algebras belong to a class of Lie algebras called extended affine Lie algebras of type $A_1$. They are obtained from a semilattice on $\mathbbR^n$. We studied the structure of the Verma type modules for the extended affine TKK algebra obtained from a semi-lattice (non-lattice) on $\mathbbR^2$. Fixing a set of positive isotropic ro

9. Propriedades homologicas de mergulho de grupos discretos metabelianos / Embedding homological properties of metabelian discrete groups
We study embedding homological properties of finitely generated metabelian groups and we extend an earlier work in [19] where it was shown that for a fixed m every finitely generated metabelian group G embeds in a quotient of a metabelian group of homological type FPm and furthermore that G embeds in a metabelian group of type FP4. More precisely we show tha

10. Abelian-by-nilpotent of homological type FP IND.3 / Grupos abelianos-por-nilpotentes do tipo homologico FP IND.3

11. Teoria dos mÃdulos idealizadores diferenciais
Given an ideal in a polynomial ring (with coefficients in a field usually assumed to have characteristic zero), we may consider the derivations that preserve it. They give rise to a special module called differential idealizer (of the given ideal). Such an object plays a primordial role in this thesis, which is divided into two main sections. In the first se

12. Geometric invariant theory and representations of quivers / Teoria geometrica dos invariantes e representações de quivers
This thesis is divided into two parts. ln the first part we present the main ideas and tools of Geometric lnvariant Theory, which is concerned with the following problem: ls it possible to give an algebraic structure to the quotient of an algebraic variety by the action of an algebraic group? Qne of the most important results says that an algebraic quotient
