1. Estudo das alteraÃÃes hematolÃgicas, bioquÃmicas e genotÃxicas induzidas por agrotÃxicos em agricultores do estado do Piauà / STUDY OF POSSIBLE GENETIC CHANGES INDUCED BY PESTICIDES IN FARMERS IN THE STATE OF PIAUÃ
Exposure to pesticides represents a potential risk to human health. In addition to poisoning, these compounds may interact with DNA, causing degenerative diseases, including cancer. The risk assessment for pesticides was conducted in the municipalities of Picos, Piripiri, Barras and Josà de Freitas with farm workers (exposed group) and 55 administrative off

2. Efeitos da exposição in vivo à hidroquinona sobre funções do tecido traqueal e de macrófagos alveolares de camundongos / Effects of in vivo hydroquinone exposure on functions of alveolar macrophages and tracheal tissue in mice

3. TOXICITY OF AN ORGANOPHOSPHATE PESTICIDE IN THE PERIPHERAL AUDITORY SYSTEM: ANATOMIC AND FUNCTIONAL STUDY / TOXICIDADE DE AGROTÓXICO ORGANOFOSFORADO NO SISTEMA AUDITIVO PERIFÉRICO DE COBAIAS: ESTUDO ANATÔMICO E FUNCIONAL
The organophosphate pesticides are widely used in agriculture, and the widespread application of these agents, without the appropriate use of bio-security measures, has contributed to environmental degradation and the increased incidence of occupational poisoning, becoming one of the main public health problems in rural areas. Studies show that the ototoxic

4. EFFECT OF DIPHENYL DISELENIDE ON TOXICITY INDUCED BY MERCURIC CHLORIDE IN MICE / EFEITO DO DISSELENETO DE DIFENILA SOBRE A TOXICIDADE INDUZIDA POR CLORETO DE MERCÚRIO EM CAMUNDONGOS
Mercury is a metal without physiological functions in human body and is toxic to human beings. This metal has many applications in industry and, therefore it is very important in occupational and environmental exposure. The toxicity of mercury depends on the form of the metal and can affect several organs, such as brain, kidney and liver. In addition, mercur

5. Estudo da esterilização por plasma de acoplamento indutivo e análise comparativa com esterilização por óxido de etileno / Study of sterilization by Inductively coupled plasma and comparison with sterilization by ethilene oxyde
The gas Plasma sterilization technology has been emerging as an alternative to conventional low temperature processes since the advent of new therapies using heat sensitive materials in the healthcare field is greater than ever. The gas Plasma mechanism of action includes the generation of actives species by an electrical discharge, which is able to promote

6. Current Status of Chemical Carcinogenesis
The prevention of cancer by the elimination of, or decreased contact with, chemical carcinogens is dealt with under three headings. (a) Exposure of special groups: occupational cancer, iatronic cancer; (b) exposure of whole populations; (c) discovery of chemical carcinogens in the course of toxicity studies. It is most important that a major effort be made t
