3. Embolização pré-operatória do hemangioma cavernoso do reto

A reperfus

6. Avaliação radiológica imediata, aos seis meses e aos 18 meses, do uso do copolímero etileno vinil álcool (Onyx®) no tratamento endovascular de aneurismas saculares intracranianos de colo largo / Radiological evaluation on immediate, 6 and 18 month control on the use of Onyx® in the endovascular treatment of wide neck intracranial aneurysms

The use of Onyx(R) to seal endoleaks after endovascular treatment of abdominal aortic aneurysm.
Twelve mongrel dogs were used in this study to create abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) with endoleak after endovascular treatment. The next step was seal this endoleak with an embolic material called Onyx(R) The presence or occlusion of the endoleaks was proved by computer tomography and angiography. Succeed in the creation of the experimental model was obser

8. Replication of an E1B 55-Kilodalton Protein-Deficient Adenovirus (ONYX-015) Is Restored by Gain-of-Function Rather than Loss-of-Function p53 Mutants
ONYX-015 (dl1520) is an E1B 55-kilodalton protein-deficient replicating adenovirus that is currently in clinical trials as an antitumor agent. On the basis of the observation that the E1B 55kD gene product is able to bind to and inactivate p53, ONYX-015's mechanism of action is proposed to involve selective replication in and killing of p53-deficient cells.

9. Evidence that Replication of the Antitumor Adenovirus ONYX-015 Is Not Controlled by the p53 and p14ARF Tumor Suppressor Genes
The adenovirus mutant ONYX-015 is in phase III clinical trials as a novel antitumor therapy. Its apparent efficacy is thought to be due to its ability to replicate selectively in tumor cells defective in the signaling pathway for p53. Recent data have shown that p14ARF, a positive regulator of p53, inhibits ONYX-015 replication in cells with a wild-type p53,

10. Developing Novel Oncolytic Adenoviruses through Bioselection
Mutants of human adenovirus 5 (Ad5) with enhanced oncolytic activity were isolated by using a procedure termed bioselection. Two mutants, ONYX-201 and ONYX-203, were plaque purified from a pool of randomly mutagenized Ad5 that was repeatedly passaged in the human colorectal cancer cell line HT29, and they were subsequently characterized. ONYX-201 and ONYX-20

11. Heat shock protein 72 expression allows permissive replication of oncolytic adenovirus dl1520 (ONYX-015) in rat glioblastoma cells
In this study we have made novel observations with regards to potentiation of the tumoricidal activity of the oncolytic adenovirus, dl1520 (ONYX-015) in rat glioblastoma cell lines expressing heat shock protein 72 (HSP72) due to permissive virus replication. ONYX-015 is a conditionally replicating adenovirus that is deleted for the E1B 55 kDA gene product wh

12. Analyses of Single-Amino-Acid Substitution Mutants of Adenovirus Type 5 E1B-55K Protein
The E1B-55K protein plays an important role during human adenovirus type 5 productive infection. In the early phase of the viral infection, E1B-55K binds to and inactivates the tumor suppressor protein p53, allowing efficient replication of the virus. During the late phase of infection, E1B-55K is required for efficient nucleocytoplasmic transport and transl
