1. A Facile Synthesized Polyaniline Coated Zerovalent Iron-Silica as an Efficient Sorbent for Magnetic Solid Phase Extraction of Phenolic Pollutants in Water Samples
A magnetic material based on polyaniline coated zerovalent iron-silica (Fe@SiO2@PANI) was simply synthesized using a facile manner under low energy consumption and applied for magnetic solid phase extraction of phenolic pollutants prior to analysis by high performance liquid chromatography-photodiode array detection (HPLC-PDA). The parameters which affected

2. Evaluation of Carbon Nanotubes/Polyaniline Thin Films for Development of Electrochemical Sensors
Thin films of multiwalled carbon nanotubes/polyaniline nanocomposites (CNT/PAni) were synthesized through the liquid/liquid (L/L) interfacial route, deposited over glass substrates, and evaluated through cyclic voltammetry and amperometry as electrochemical sensor, using L-ascorbic acid as probe. Films with three different CNT/PAni ratios have been prepared.

3. Corrosion and Micro-abrasive Wear Behaviour of 2524-T3 Aluminium Alloy with PAni-NPs/PSS LbL Coating
In this paper, we present an alternative method to obtain thin films for coating protection on the surface of the AA2524-T3 Al-alloy by using the Layer-by-Layer (LbL) technique. The LbL films were fabricated by alternated immersion of the Al-alloy into a poly(styrene sulfonate) (PSS) and polyaniline nanoparticles (PAni-NPs) solutions, obtaining a PAni-NPs/PS

4. Development and characterization of gas sensors using thin films of polyaniline as active layer
ABSTRACT This work aimed at the development and characterization of gas sensing devices using thin films of polyaniline (PAni) as active layer, deposited by in situ polymerization. The polyaniline, an intrinsically conductive polymer, was used due to its high sensitivity to gases, low response time and stability, ease of synthesis and low cost. The sensor wa

5. PAni-coated LiFePO4 Synthesized by a Low Temperature Solvothermal Method
The composite LiFePO4/polyaniline was prepared by chemical synthesis to promote the intensification of the electrochemical properties for use as cathodes in lithium ion batteries. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) of LiFePO4 synthesized by solvothermal method were indexed to the orthorhombic structure, according to the JCPDS 40-1499. The spectra Raman and FTIR sho

6. Effect of the Incorporation of Micro and Nanocellulose Particles on the Anticorrosive Properties of Epoxy Coatings Applied on Carbon Steel
Polymeric coatings may act as a physical barrier between the aggressive ions and the metal substrate. However, prolonged exposure may cause damage to the polymer coating, leading to a continuous reduction of the barrier effect and consequently loss of the corrosion protection. The objective of this study is to determine the effect of aminopropyltriethoxysila

7. Non-isothermal decomposition kinetics of conductive polyaniline and its derivatives
Abstract The non-isothermal decomposition kinetics of conductive polyaniline (PANI) and its derivatives, poly(o-methoxyaniline) (POMA) and poly(o-ethoxyaniline) (POEA), was investigated by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), under inert and oxidative atmospheres, using Flynn-Wall-Ozawa’s approach to assess the kinetic parameters of the decomposition process

8. Cashew nut shell liquid, a valuable raw material for generating semiconductive polyaniline nanofibers
Abstract Cashew nut shell liquid (CNSL) is an abundant and renewable by-product of the cashew nut industry. It appears to be a valuable raw material for generating semiconductive polyaniline (PAni) nanomaterial with enhanced thermal stability and well-defined nanofiber morphology following a polymerization dispersion process. This study confirms that CNSL a

10. Influence of reaction time on the structure of polyaniline synthesized on a pre-pilot scale
Abstract The aim of this work is to follow the structural variations of polyaniline (PAni) obtained by chemical oxidation on a pre-pilot scale, with different reaction times. Synthesis of PAni is well known, but when it is carried out on a pre-pilot scale, several factors can lead to structural changes and understanding these changes is important to improve

11. Effect of PANI on Thermal, Mechanical and Electromagnetic Properties of HDPE/LLDPE/PANI Composites
In this work, polyaniline (PANI) in emeraldine-base form, synthesized by chemical oxidation polymerization, was protonated with hydrochloric acid (HCl). Composites based on high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and linear-low density polyethylene (LLDPE) blends with PANI were prepared in molten condition using a torque rheometer. The effect of compatibilizer agen
