1. Recurrent Algorithm for TDOA Localization in Sensor Networks
ABSTRACT: Using the mathematical apparatus of the extended Kalman Filter, the recurrent algorithm of the passive location in sensor networks - based on the Time Difference of Arrival method in case of correlated errors of measurements - is developed. The initial estimates of Radio Frequency Sources coordinates and the correlation matrix of the vector estimat

2. USING PASSIVE AND ACTIVE MULTISPECTRAL SENSORS ON THE CORRELATION WITH THE PHENOLOGICAL INDICES OF COTTON
ABSTRACT: The investment in precision agriculture technologies has been growing as well the investment in vegetation index sensors with different types of data collection. This study aimed to evaluate the NDVI potential use obtained from passive and active multispectral sensors as phenological parameters indicator of cotton growth. The experiment was conduct

3. Hyperspectral remote sensing to assess the water status, biomass, and yield of maize cultivars under salinity and water stress
ABSTRACT Spectral remote sensing offers the potential to provide more information for making better-informed management decisions at the crop canopy level in real time. In contrast, the traditional methods for irrigation management are generally time-consuming, and numerous observations are required to characterize them. The aim of this study was to investig

4. Syntheses and Fundamental Properties of Cr/Mo-Adoped Fe-Rich Alloys With Metastable Phase and Saturation Magnetization Near 1.9 T
The Fe-rich alloys of Fe90-xSi5B5Mx (M= Cr or Mo; x=1, 2) are synthesized in the present study. The as-spun structure mainly consists of bcc phase plus a minor amount of metastable phase (Fe3B and/or Fe23B6). Comparing with the base alloy Fe90Si5B5, the corrosion resistance is improved significantly due to the formation of the passive film. Saturation magnet

5. Thermal ecology and thermoregulatory behavior of Coleodactylus natalensis (Squamata: Sphaerodactylidae), in a fragment of the Atlantic forest of northeastern, Brazil
We studied the thermal ecology and thermoregulatory behavior of Coleodactylus natalensis Freire, 1999 in a remnant of a northern coastal patch of the Brazilian Atlantic Forest. Data were collected during four 20-day field excursions over the course of one year. We assessed the importance of substrate and air temperatures, in addition to time of exposure to s

The coastal zone of Itamaracà is like a highly dynamic environment where land and oceanic processes interact altering frequently coastal characteristics. In this context, this current study examines the responsible processes of such changes from the development and application of methodologies, which includes digital image processing and the obtaining of in

9. Correlação eletromiografica e cefalometrica da biomecanica mandibular com o movimento mastigatorio predominante / Etectromyographic correlation and cephalometric of mandibular biomechanical with the predominant masticatory movement
The study of the craniomandibular biomechanics is related to the system of predominant lever and of the relation between function and mechanically induced deformations. This study has the purpose of evaluating the chewing muscular dynamics and correlating the chewing movement side that is more vertical and/or more horizontal set up by the photomeasurement Pl

10. Desenvolvimento de um medidor de fase para um sistema de biotelemetria passiva / Development of a phase meter for a passive biotelemetry system
This work describes the development of a phase measurement equipment for use in a passive biotelemetric system, whose system and measurement technique were developed before in the Biotelemetry Laboratory of the UTFPR. Based on a new technique and phase measurement system developed in this work it was possible to implement an equipment to measure the input ph

11. Damped elastic recoil of the titin spring in myofibrils of human myocardium
The giant protein titin functions as a molecular spring in muscle and is responsible for most of the passive tension of myocardium. Because the titin spring is extended during diastolic stretch, it will recoil elastically during systole and potentially may influence the overall shortening behavior of cardiac muscle. Here, titin elastic recoil was quantified

12. Synaptotagmin-2 Controls Regulated Exocytosis but Not Other Secretory Responses of Mast Cells*
Mast cell degranulation is a highly regulated, calcium-dependent process, which is important for the acute release of inflammatory mediators during the course of many pathological conditions. We previously found that Synaptotagmin-2, a calcium sensor in neuronal exocytosis, was expressed in a mast cell line. We postulated that this protein may be involved in
