1. BRS 425: the first runner peanut cultivar related to wild ancestral species
Abstract BRS 425 is a high-oleic runner peanut cultivar related to wild ancestral parents, partially resistant to early and late leaf spot and spotted wilt. It is large-seeded and contains 46% oil. BRS 425 is adapted to the main peanut-producing regions of Brazil.

2. Bioenergetics Potential of RR2 PRO Transgenic Soybean Subjected to Application of Herbicides Isolated and in Combination
ABSTRACT In Brazil, there are several crops producing oil for biofuel production, such as canola, sunflower, peanut, cotton, castor bean, soybean, among others. There are parameters that indicate the energetic and economic viability for the production of biofuels, and that can be applied, for example, in transgenic soybeans. The present study aimed to evalua

3. Yield, market quality, and leaf spots partial resistance of interspecific peanut progenies
Development of leaf spots resistant runner peanut cultivars is one of the major demands in Brazil. In the 2009/10 crop season, 12 pre-breeding progenies (LPM) were selected out of 380 plants of an interspecific BC1F3 population for leaf spots resistance and agronomic traits. In the 2010/11, the 12 LPMs were evaluated for leaf spots resistance, without fungic

4. Successful crosses between fungal-resistant wild species of Arachis (section Arachis) and Arachis hypogaea
Peanut (Arachis hypogaea) is the fifth most produced oil crop worldwide. Besides lack of water, fungal diseases are the most limiting factors for the crop. Several species of Arachis are resistant to certain pests and diseases. This study aimed to successfully cross the A-genome with B-K-A genome wild species previously selected for fungal disease resistance

5. Morphometric study of the corpus cavernosum after anabolic androgenic steroid administration in pubertal and adult rats
PURPOSE: To evaluate the penile morphological modifications of pubertal and adult rats chronically treated with supra-physiological doses of anabolic androgenic steroids. METHODS: Forty-eight male Wistar rats were distributed into four groups: two control groups, 105- and 65-day-old (C105 and C65, respectively) injected with peanut oil (vehicle); and two tr

6. The prostate after administration of anabolic androgenic steroids: a morphometrical study in rats
Purpose Many adverse effects have been associated with abuse of anabolic-androgenic steroids (AAS), including disorders of the urogenital tract. The objective of this study is to analyze the morphological modifications in the prostate ventral lobe of pubertal and adult rats chronically treated with AAS, using morphometric methods. 7. Efeitos dos parâmetros da extração e avaliação da qualidade física e química dos óleos de baru e amendoim / Effects of parameter extraction and quality assessment ofphysics and chemistry of baru and peanut oil
This work aimed to optimize the extraction of baru oil (Dipteryx alata Vog.) by continuous mechanical pressing and assess its quality compared to peanut oil extracted under the same conditions, since both have similar characteristics. The characterization of fruit and baru almonds from southern state of Goiás was carried out, determining their chemical comp

8. Efeitos dos parâmetros da extração e avaliação da qualidade física e química dos óleos de baru e amendoim / Effects of parameter extraction and quality assessment ofphysics and chemistry of baru and peanut oil

9. Protein co-products and by-products of the biodiesel industry for ruminants feeding
The objective of the experiment was to classify 20 protein co-products and by-products of the biodiesel industry with potential to use in ruminant feeding. The meals evaluated were: cottonseed, canudo-de-pito, crambe, sunflower, castor-oil seeds detoxified with calcium, non-detoxified castor-oil seeds and soybean; and the cakes were: cottonseed, peanut, baba

11. Lipids, carbohydrates and proteins of cerrado legume seeds / Lipídios, carboidratos e proteínas de sementes de leguminosas do Cerrado
Cerrado (Brazilian savanna) is one of the largest biomes in the country, covering about 20 to 25% of the Brazilian territory and housing a wide biodiversity. However, Cerrado vegetation has undergone an increasing degree of aggression. Thus, detailed studies about Cerrado plant species are urgently needed. The aim of this work is to analyse organic nutrients

12. Nivel de infección fúngica natural en relación a la calidad de semillas de maní
In peanut seeds, the relationship between the level of natural fungus infection and the seed quality has not been clearly established. This study aimed to evaluate the relationship between the level of natural fungus infection and the quality of peanut seeds in terms of viability and vigor. Tests were carried out with 10 lots of peanut seeds cv. Florman sele
