1. Cálculo e preparo de soluções tampão: guia completo usando o software PeakMaster®
Buffers are a widely used resource to keep solutions from abruptly change their pH when amounts of acids or bases are added or when dilution occurs. Considering this, buffer is a topic addressed in several university majors and due its relevance should be well known by students and by all professionals who eventually need to prepared a buffer. 2. Development of a generic method for the determination of proton-pump inhibitors by capillary zoneelectrophoresis
A generic capillary zone electrophoresis method was developed for the analysis of four proton pump inhibitors: omeprazole, pantoprazole, lansoprazole and rabeprazole. During preliminary analysis screening of phosphate buffers at different pH levels was performed, in order to determine the optimum pH domain suitable for the simultaneous determination of all s

3. Experimental protocol for metabolic acidosis induction by intravenous administration of hydrochloric acid in sheep

4. Corrosion behavior of Ti and Ti6A14V in citrate buffers containing fluoride ions
The effect of fluoride ions concentration on the electrochemical behavior of Ti grade 2 and Ti6Al4V in citrate buffers was studied. Open circuit potential (OCP) measurements and voltammetric studies of the samples in the fluoride containing citrate buffers revealed a dissolution process when the pH falls below 5.0 and the NaF content is higher than 0.01 M. H

5. A eletroforese capilar para a separação das metalotioneínas da cianobactéria (Synechococcus PCC 7942) e de mamíferos / Capillary electrophoresis for the separation of cyanobacterial metallothionein (Synechococcus PCC 7942) and mammals
Metallothioneins (MTs) are low molecular weight proteins, which main functions are the regulation of metals levels in the body and detoxification. The capillary electrophoresis (CE) characterization of MT from Synechococcus cyanobacteria was attained by comparison with commercial standards of horse kidney and rabbit liver MTs. The influence of electrolyte, s

6. Polyethylene glycol and polyvinylpirrolidone effect on bacterial rRNA extraction and hybridization from cells exposed to tannins.
In order to detect fluctuations in ruminal microbial populations due to forage tannins using 16S ribosomal RNA (rRNA) probes, recovery of intact rRNA is required. The objective of this work was to evaluate the effect of polyethylene glycol (PEG) and polyvinylpirrolidone (PVP) on extraction of bacterial rRNA, in the presence of tannins from tropical legume fo

7. Estudos funcionais e estruturais das septinas humanas 6, 8 e 10 / Functional and structural studies of human septin 6, 8 and 10
A cell passes through some steps to enable for cell division and all these processes are called Cell Cycle. The spatial and temporal regulation of this process is crucial to maintaining cellular and genetic material. Failure in this process can lead to cell death or genetic changes causing division and unregulated growth of tumors. Among several proteins inv

8. A comparative study on analytical method of total alkaloids from cortex Phellodendri amurens by reversed phase high performance liquid chromatography (RP-HPLC) and pressurized capillary electrochromatography (pCEC)
A pressurized capillary electrochromatography (pCEC) method with post-column detection cell has been developed for the analysis of total alkaloids of cortex Phellodendron amurense Rupr., Rutaceae. The separation of total alkaloids (berberine, palmatine, oatrorrhizine, magnoflorine, phellodendrine, candicine, menisperine) was optimized by compositions of the

10. Study of pre-formulation, pharmaceutical development and characterization of solid dosage forms of olanzapine / Estudo de pré-formulação, desenvolvimento farmacotécnico e caracterização de formas farmacêuticas sólidas da olanzapina
Among manufacturing processes available, direct compression is indicated for OLZ because this drug is moisture sensitive. Before drug developement, preformulation investigations involving physical and chemical properties of drug and excipient combined and separated must be performed. Thus, drug solubility profile, thermal analysis techniques, mainly DSC and

12. Seleção e caracterização de peptídeos miméticos a proteínas tumorais no estadiamento clínico-patológico do câncer de próstata
Prostate cancer is the second cause of deaths by tumor in men, surpassed only to lung cancer. Currently, PSA (prostate-specific antigen) is clinical test of choice for PCa detection and treatment. However, the limitations of the PSA test such as large number of false positive results and unnecessary biopsies indicate the need for other means of screening for
