1. Efeitos sequenciais do treinamento aeróbio sobre o sistema renina-angiotensina em núcleos autonômicos de ratos normotensos e hipertensos. / Sequential effects of aerobic training on the renin-angiotensin system in autonomic nuclei of normotensive and hipertensive rats.
The aerobic training (T) for 12 weeks was effective in reducing the mRNA of angiotensinogen(AGT) in NTS of SHR. We evaluate in SHR and WKY time-course changes of T on blood pressure, heart rate, AGT and AT1 mRNA and protein (PVN, NTS and RVL). WKY and SHR were T for 0,1,2,4,8 or 12 weeks, the baseline BP and HR were recorded and mRNA(RT-PCR) and Immunofluore

2. A participação social na implantação do projeto Rostos, Vozes e Lugares em Guarulhos/SP / Social participation in project implementation Voices and Faces Places in Guarulhos / SP
The present research intends to study social participation to implement the Rostos Vozes e Lugares, project, in Guarulhos, State of São Paulo. We pursue to understand who are the social people involved, identify the way they look at the places where they live, problems and potentials, their dreams and involvement means undertaken. For so, theoretical refere

3. Mecanismos geradores da atividade vasomotora simpática na hipertensão arterial renovascular em ratos Wistar / Mechanisms of vasomotor sympathetic activity generation in the renovascular hypertension in Wistar rats

4. Indicadores de eficiência produtiva, reprodutiva e econômica de sistemas intensivos de produção de leite do Sul de Minas Gerais / Indicators of productive, reproductive and economic efficiency of intensive systems of milk production in southern of Minas Gerais

Cardiovascular responses are integrated at different levels of the central nervous system (CNS). In the brainstem, there are different areas related to the cardiovascular control such as the rostral ventrolateral medulla (RVLM) that activates sympathetic pre-ganglionic neurons in the spinal cord (IML) inducing pressor response. Like glutamatergic activation,

6. Respostas cardiovasculares à administração de Vitamina C no modelo de hipertensão renovascular experimental. / Cardiovascular effects in response to vitamin C administration in experimental renovascular hypertension model.
An exaggerated production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) has been observed in different animal models of arterial hypertension (AH), among then the renovascular 2Kidney-1Clip (2K-1C) model. One of the purposes of the present Thesis was to evaluate if the endovenous (EV) administration of ascorbic acid (Vitamin C), an antioxidant, modifies the cardiovascula

7. Importância da região AV3V para as respostas pressoras produzidas pela ativação de áreas bulbares.
Cardiovascular responses are integrated at different levels of the central nervous system (CNS). Particularly the hypothalamus and brainstem areas are involved in the control of autonomic responses and among them the cardiovascular responses. Different areas in the brainstem, like the nucleus tract solitarii (NTS), the rostroventrolateral medulla (RVLM), cau

8. Excitatory amino acid-mediated chemoreflex excitation of respiratory neurones in rostral ventrolateral medulla in rats.
1. In anaesthetized rats, extracellular and intracellular recordings were made from 119 respiratory neurones in the rostroventrolateral reticular nucleus (RVL) of the medulla oblongata. 2. Two types of active respiratory neurones were detected in RVL: expiratory (E) and pre-inspiratory (Pre-I), based on the relationship between their discharge and that of th

9. NMDA receptor-mediated sympathetic chemoreflex excitation of RVL-spinal vasomotor neurones in rats.
1. We investigated the role of N-methyl-D-aspartic acid (NMDA) receptors in mediating hypoxic excitation of the reticulospinal vasomotor neurones of the rostroventrolateral reticular nucleus (RVL) of the medulla oblongata in paralysed ventilated rats. 2. Unilateral close arterial injection of sodium cyanide (100 nmol) into the carotid sinus region or ventila

10. Nociceptive inputs into rostral ventrolateral medulla-spinal vasomotor neurones in rats.
1. In anaesthetized rats recordings were made from thirty-eight neurones in the rostral ventrolateral medulla (RVL) with spinal-projecting axons. Their responses to mechanical, thermal and/or electrical stimulation were examined as were the accompanying changes in arterial pressure. 2. Mechanical, thermal and electrical stimulation of either hindpaw at a str

11. Contribution of oxygen-sensitive neurons of the rostral ventrolateral medulla to hypoxic cerebral vasodilatation in the rat.
1. We sought to determine whether hypoxic stimulation of neurons of the rostral ventrolateral reticular nucleus (RVL) would elevate regional cerebral blood flow (rCBF) in anaesthetized paralysed rats. 2. Microinjection of sodium cyanide (NaCN; 150-450 pmol) into the RVL rapidly (within 1-2 s), transiently, dose-dependently and site-specifically elevated rCBF

12. Identification of a novel enhancer element mediating calcium-dependent induction of gene expression in response to either epidermal growth factor or activation of protein kinase C.
The VL30 family of defective murine retroviruses consists of 100 to 200 members, of which fewer than 5% appear to be transcriptionally active. A genomic clone of the transcriptionally active VL30 element RVL-3 was identified and sequenced. Genetic analysis indicated that a triple-repeat sequence within the RVL-3 long terminal repeat is capable of functioning
