1. Stabilization of sandy soil with high content of asphalt emulsion
Abstract The purpose of this article is to evaluate the shear strength parameters of mixtures of sandy soil with high asphalt emulsion contents for their use in geotechnical structures, such as zoned earth dams, embankments, etc. The methodology adopted consisted of: collecting and characterizing samples of sandy soil to be laboratory tested; compacting the

2. Study of the mechanical performance of two lateritics soils from the State of São Paulo when mixed with asphalt emulsion / Estudo do comportamento mecânico de dois solos lateríticos do Estado de São Paulo com adição de emulsão asfáltica

3. Efeito do hidrolisado de peixe na supressividade do solo para o controle do amarelo (Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. zingiberi) do gengibre em experiência agroecológica em Tapiraí-SP / EFFECT OF FISH HIDROLISED ON SUPPRESSIVENESS TO YELLOW OF GINGER (Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. zingiberi) IN AN AGROECOLOGICAL EXPERIENCE IN TAPIRAÍ, SP
The objective of this work was to evaluate the effect of fish hydrolysed in soil suppression against ginger yellow caused by Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. zingiberi, in a property in Tapirai, SP with no use of fungicides. Fish hydrolysed was applied directly in the soil at 0, 500, 1000, 2000 e 4000 l/ha in two different periods. The development and productivity

4. Experimental Study of Soil-Emulsion Mixtures Applied to the Highways of the Agricultural Pole of Baixo Jaguaribe/Cearà State / Estudo Experimental de Misturas Solo-EmulsÃo Aplicado Ãs Rodovias do AgropÃlo do Baixo Jaguaribe/Estado do CearÃ

5. The mechanical and hydric behavior of soil stabilized with asphaltic emulsion / Comportamento mecanico e hidrico de solos estabilizados com emulsão asfaltica

6. ContribuiÃÃo ao Estudo da ImprimaÃÃo Betuminosa das Bases RodoviÃrias do Estado do Cearà / CONTRIBUTION TO THE STUDY OF BITUMINOUS PRIME COAT ON ROADÂS BASE LAYERS OF CEARà STATE
Bituminous prime coat can be defined as the application of an asphalt film layer on a granular base, for the improvement of its technological qualities. In pavements subjected to the role of the prime coats is even more important due to the reduced thickness of the surface and its low or inexistent structural function. The purpose os this work is to investig

8. Influence of Antitranspirants on Rapeseed (Brassica campestris) Plants under Water-stressed and Nonstressed Conditions 1
Daily transpiration rate was decreased by low soil moisture, phenylmercuric acetate (PMA) in combination with kaolinite, Mobileaf (a filmforming wax emulsion manufactured by the Mobil Oil Co.), PMA alone, and kaolinite alone in this order. At high soil moisture, dry matter was decreased by PMA but was increased by Mobileaf and by PMA + kaolinite combination.

9. New monitoring system for proteolysis in soil as influenced by selected herbicidal applications.
Proteolysis in soil (Regina heavy clay) was monitored by the gelatinolytic etching of developed color film emulsion, using a film immersion-slide carrier technique. Etching followed a sigmoid curve to completion. A total of 11 herbicides were tested for their potential influence on this proteolytic function. Eight caused some inhibition, and two were stimula

10. Selective Medium for Isolation of Mycoleptodiscus terrestris from Soil Sediments of Aquatic Environments
A selective medium was developed for the dilution plate isolation of Mycoleptodiscus terrestris from natural soils and sediments from aquatic environments. The ingredients per liter of the selective medium are as follows: KH2PO4, 0.5 g; MgSO4 7H2O, 0.5 g; dextrose, 10.0 g; peptone, 5.0 g; chloramphenicol, 0.25 g; rose bengal, 50 mg; oxgall, 5.0 g; Terraclor

11. Purification and Characterization of an Extracellular Poly(l-Lactic Acid) Depolymerase from a Soil Isolate, Amycolatopsis sp. Strain K104-1
Poly(l-lactic acid) (PLA)-degrading Amycolatopsis sp. strains K104-1 and K104-2 were isolated by screening 300 soil samples for the ability to form clear zones on the PLA-emulsified mineral agar plates. Both of the strains assimilated >90% of emulsified 0.1% (wt/vol) PLA within 8 days under aerobic conditions. A novel PLA depolymerase with a molecular weight
