1. Microemulsões combustíveis a partir do óleo de babaçu para substituir o diesel em motores estacionários. / Microemulsion fuels from babassu oil to replace the diesel in stationary engines.

The aim of this study was investigate the consolidation of the biodiesel fuel used in (a) engines of urban and intercity bus companies, (b) a stationary engine. It was necessary to investigate and analyze, technologically, if the biodiesel fuels were presenting troubleshooting relative to wear of parts lied to fuel and to evaluate the consumption fluctuation

4. TRANSIENT MODELLING OF INDUSTRIAL GAS TURBINE FOR POWER GENERATION / MODELAGEM DO REGIME TRANSITÓRIO DE TURBINAS A GÁS INDUSTRIAIS PARA A GERAÇÃO DE ENERGIA ELÉTRICA
Gas turbine engines are a vital part of today¿s industry, providing both work and heat for several industry sectors, from transportation to cogeneration systems. The growing need for reliable electricity has encouraged the design of stationary gas turbines, including in Brazil, which operates on multiple fuels such as diesel, natural gas and low calorific f

5. Uso do óleo vegetal em motor estacionário de ciclo diesel / Vegetable oil use in stationary engine of diesel cycle
In terms of liquid biofuels, the questions related to alcohol are in a developed level with the creation of a productive chain where all the processes are technologically decided since the production of the sugar cane until the alcohol consumption with the development of the multifuel cars. As for the use of vegetable oils, some barriers must be overcome, ma

6. Emissões atmosféricas de grupos motogeradores na região metropolitana de São Paulo / Atmosphere emissions from motogenerator groups study from at São Paulo Metropolitan Regio

7. Dynamics of Fruiting Body Morphogenesis
Myxobacteria build their species-specific fruiting bodies by cell movement and then differentiate spores in specific places within that multicellular structure. New steps in the developmental aggregation of Myxococcus xanthus were discovered through a frame-by-frame analysis of a motion picture. The formation and fate of 18 aggregates were captured in the ti

8. Nonlinear natural engine: Model for thermodynamic processes in mesoscale systems
To develop intuition on the possible application of concepts from thermodynamic heat engines to mesoscale systems, we have constructed and studied a model thermoacoustic heat engine. The model consists of a chain of coupled nonlinear acoustic vibrators in which the primary thermodynamic medium is argon gas, the secondary thermodynamic medium is constituted b
