1. Palladium Nanoparticles Supported on β-cyclodextrin Functionalised Poly(amido amine)s and their Application in Suzuki-Miyaura Cross-Coupling Reactions
Herein, the synthesis, characterization and catalytic application of an organic-inorganic, palladium (Pd)-containing hybrid material, poly(amidoamine)-cyclodextrin (Pd@PAAs-CD), is reported as an efficient catalyst for Suzuki-Miyaura coupling reactions. The structure of Pd@PAAs-CD was confirmed by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), transmission

2. Kinetic and Thermodynamic Study in Pozzolanic Chemical Systems as an Alternative for Chapelle Test
Important properties in cementitious materials, such as concrete, are related to the presence of additives that influence the rigidity and the physical and chemical resistances. For the evaluation of the additive effectiveness, known as pozzolanic activity, a simple procedure, the Chapelle test, is commonly used, and it essentially consists in a reaction bet

3. Cellulose Oxidation and the Use of Carboxyl Cellulose Metal Complexes in Heterogeneous Catalytic Systems to Promote Suzuki-Miyaura Coupling and C-O Bond Formation Reaction
This work shows the modification of microcrystalline cellulose by the selective oxidation of primary hydroxyl groups to carboxylate groups by a 2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidine-1-oxyl radical (TEMPO)-mediated system and its application as a heterogeneous ligand by ionic exchange with catalytic metals ions such as palladium, nickel and copper. Afterwards is desc

4. Nickel exposure from keys: a Brazilian issue
Abstract: Keys are a significant source of exposure to metal allergens and can be a relevant problem for nickel-allergic individuals. This study aimed to perform nickel and cobalt spot testing among the 5 most common Brazilian brands of keys. Among the tested keys, 100% showed positive result to nickel spot test, 83,3% presented strong positive reaction. 50%

5. Suzuki-Miyaura Coupling between 3-Iodolawsone and Arylboronic Acids. Synthesis of Lapachol Analogues with Antineoplastic and Antileishmanial Activities
A series of 2-hydroxy-3-arylnaphthalene-1,4-diones (3-aryllawsones) were synthesized by Suzuki-Miyaura cross coupling reaction of 3-iodolawsone with arylboronic acids/esters. The hydroxylated resulting products were transformed into their corresponding N,N-diethyl carbamates. The antineoplastic and antileishmanial activities of the compounds were evaluated a

6. EFFECTS OF SOLVENT, BASE, AND TEMPERATURE IN THE OPTIMISATION OF A NEW CATALYTIC SYSTEM FOR SONOGASHIRA CROSS-COUPLING USING NCP PINCER PALLADACYCLE
The optimisation of a new catalyst system using NCP pincer palladacycle
1 was investigated using the experimental design technique. NCP pincer palladacycle1 was previously investigated in Suzuki-Miyaura and Heck-Mizoroki cross-couplings and found to be a highly efficient catalyst precursor. In this study, the effects of the typeQuím. Nova. Publicado em: 2015-06

7. Agarose-Alumina Composite Supported Palladium Catalyst for Suzuki Coupling Reactions
The palladium catalyst supported on agarose-alumina composite and its utilization in the Suzuki reaction have been investigated. The agarose-alumina composite was prepared and modified with organofunctional groups by reacting with the coupling reagent 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane (APTES) through Al−O−Si bonds. Palladium was efficiently loaded on the comp

8. Synthesis of Biphenyl Tyrosine Via Cross-Coupling Suzuki-Miyaura Reaction Using Aryltrifluoroborate Salts
We reported a fast and easy method for obtaining biarylic units from tyrosine derivatives via Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling using a variety of substituted and unsubstituted potassium aryl- and heteroaryltrifluoroborate salts. The scope of the methodology was also extended to the formation of bis-tyrosine linked dipeptide bonds, leading to biologically intere

9. Desenvolvimento de reator tipo "dip catalyst" para filmes poliméricos contendo nanopartículas de metais de transição
This article describes the development of a new catalytic reactor designed to operate with nanoparticle-embedded polymer thin films. Stabilization of metal nanoparticles in films that serve as catalysts in organic reactions is relatively new; therefore, the development of reactors to facilitate their use is necessary. We describe in detail the preparation of

10. TT virus in peripheral blood cells from patients with human papillomavirus (HPV): investigating association with cervical carcinoma
Torque Teno Virus (TTV) presence was investigated in peripheral blood of 117 brazilian women by nested polymerase chain reaction. TTV DNA was observed in 18.6% of healthy donors and in 24.32% Human Papillomavirus (HPV) patients. TTV presence was also investigated in the HPV positive group for comparison between the cervical cancer and noncancerous patients.

11. Dombrock genotyping in Brazilian blood donors reveals different regional frequencies of the HY allele
Background: Dombrock blood group system genotyping has revealed various rearrangements of the Dombrock gene and identified new variant alleles in Brazil (i.e., DO*A-SH, DO*A-WL and DO*B-WL). Because of the high heterogeneity of the Brazilian population, interregional differences are expected during the investigation of Dombrock genotypes. Objective: The

12. Tissue reaction to Endométhasone sealer in root canal fillings short of or beyond the apical foramen
OBJECTIVE: This study evaluated the response of periapical tissues to the endodontic sealer Endométhasone in root canal fillings short of or beyond the apical foramen. MATERIAL AND METHODS: Twenty root canals of premolars and incisors of 2 mongrel dogs were used. After coronal access and pulp extirpation, the canals were instrumented up to a size 55 K-file
