1. Kaolinite/TiO2/cobalt(II) Tetracarboxymetallophthalocyanine Nanocomposites as Heterogeneous Photocatalysts for Decomposition of Organic Pollutants Trimethoprim, Caffeine and Prometryn
São Simão’s Brazilian kaolinite has been treated with titanium(IV) isopropoxide and cobalt(II) tetracarboxymetallophthalocyanine under different conditions (acidic or basic), leading, after drying at 100 ºC, to new titania-doped cobalt(II)-metallophthalocyanine/kaolinite solids. These solids were characterized by chemical analysis, powder X-ray diffract

2. Improved Reactivity in the Ring-Opening Polymerization of ε-Caprolactone with a Trinuclear Titanium(IV) Oxochloroneopentoxide as Initiator
The complex [Ti3(O)(Cl)(ONep)9] and two iron(II)-containing products, [Fe4Cl8(thf)6] and [Fe2Cl3(thf)6][FeCl4], were synthesized by a redox reaction involving [Ti3(OiPr)11][FeCl4] and neopentanol; the structures of compounds [Ti3(O)(Cl)(ONep)9] and [Fe2Cl3(thf)6][FeCl4] have been confirmed by X-ray diffraction methods. Variable-temperature 1H NMR analysis of

3. A New Post-Metallocene-Ti Catalyst with Maltolate Bidentade Ligand: an Investigation in Heterogeneous Polymerization Reactions in Different Mesoporous Supports
A new titanium catalyst easily synthesized from ethylmaltol bidentate chelator ligand was studied in homogeneous and heterogeneous ethylene polymerization. The dichlorobis(3-hydroxy-2-ethyl-4-pyrone)titanium(IV) complex was characterized by 1H and 13C NMR (nuclear magnetic resonance), UV-Vis and elemental analysis. Theoretical study by density functional the

4. Catalytic Activity of a Titanium(IV)/Iron(II) Heterometallic Alkoxide in the Ring‑Opening Polymerization of ε-Caprolactone and rac-Lactide
The activity of the heterometallic alkoxide [FeCl{Ti2(OiPr)9}] (1) towards polymerization of rac-lactide (rac-LA) and ε-caprolactone (ε-CL) was investigated in toluene solution and in bulk at various temperatures, monomer/heterometallic alkoxide molar ratio and reaction times. The alkoxide 1 was active in solution for ε-CL and in bulk for both monomers. P

5. Influence of Temperature and Acid Etching Time on the Superficial Characteristics of Ti
AbstractWe evaluated the influence of the etching time and temperature of an acid solution (HCl/H2SO4) on the chemical and topographical superficial characteristics of cpTi grade IV. Samples were analyzed by electron microscopy, interferometry, and grazing incidence XRD. The surfaces kept the irregularity aspect when submitted to the same etching temperature

6. Effect of cleanser solutions on the color of acrylic resins associated with titanium and nickel-chromium alloys
This study evaluated the effect of cleanser solutions on the color of heat-polymerized acrylic resin (HPAR) and on the brightness of dental alloys with 180 immersion trials. Disk-shaped specimens were made with I) commercially pure titanium, II) nickel-chromium-molybdenum-titanium, III) nickel-chromium molybdenum, and IV) nickel-chromium-molybdenum beryllium

7. Study of the influence of acid etching treatments on the superficial characteristics of Ti
Modifications in texture and surface chemistry are commonly used to increase the biologic response to implants. We evaluated the influence of five different acid etching treatments on the chemical and topographical superficial characteristics of cpTi grade IV discs (test groups). One group of samples were only polished (control group). The samples were analy

8. Ovarian blood vessel occlusion as a surgical sterilization method in rats
PURPOSE: To evaluate the female sterilization by occlusion of the ovarian blood flow, using the rat as experimental model.METHODS: Fifty-five females rats were divided into four groups: I (n=10), bilateral ovariectomy, euthanized at 60 or 90 days; II (n=5), opening the abdominal cavity, euthanized at 90 days; III (n=20), bilateral occlusion of the ovarian bl

9. Desenvolvimento de processos de eletrodos de porta (TaN e TiN) para dispositivos MOS / Process development of gate electrodes (TiN and TaN) for MOS devices
Tantalum nitride (TaN) and titanium nitride (TiN) films have been obtained by DC sputtering, using different nitrogen flow (10 - 80 sccm) and power (500 - 1500 W), in a nitrogen (N2)/argon (Ar) ambient on Si (100) substrates. The N2/Ar ratio in gas mixture and power effects on structural and electrical properties of TaN and TiN films were investigated by sca

10. Produção de micropartículas ocas e porosas de TiO2 pelo método "core-shell" para aplicação em processos de fotocatálise heterogênea / Production of hollows and porous microparticules of TiO2 for core shell method to application in heterogenous fotocatalysis process

"Sn" and "Al" materials, with different reasons in Sn/Al2O3 mass were obtained, characterized and tested as catalysts for the oxidation of indigo carmine dye. The characterization of the materials confirmed the presence of Sn (IV) in all samples. It was observed only one phase, the SnO2. The particle size obtained was 22 to 36 nm. The photocatalytic tests sh
