1. 3D COMPOSITIONAL RESERVOIR SIMULATION IN CONJUNCTION WITH UNSTRUCTURED GRIDS
Abstract In the last decade, unstructured grids have been a very important step in the development of petroleum reservoir simulators. In fact, the so-called third generation simulators are based on Perpendicular Bisection (PEBI) unstructured grids. Nevertheless, the use of PEBI grids is not very general when full anisotropic reservoirs are modeled. Another p

3. A Teoria de redes sociais utilizada para avaliação das colaborações em ambientes virtuais de ensino à distância / The theory of social networks used for evaluation of collaborations in virtual environments for distance learning
This dissertation presents a case study using the theory and technology of social networks for evaluation of the collaboration in forums of a virtual learning environment. Similarly for present education, interactions in virtual environments of education are important and should be considered an variable in the process of knowledge generation. Thus, uses of

In this thesis, two combinatorial optimization problems are modeled by integer linear programming and solved using the column generation technique. Both cases correspond to generalizations of classical problems in graphs that occur in many practical situations. The first, called capacitated ring-star problem is a generalization of the vehicle routing problem

5. Limites inferiores para o problema de coloraÃÃo de vÃrtices via geraÃÃo de cortes e colunas / Inferior limits for the problem of vertex coloring saw generation of cuts and columns

This work presents the Vehicle Routing Problem where only the vehicle capacity constraint is considered. The aim of this problem is to service a set of clients through the generation of least cost routs which respect the vehicle capacity constraint. To create the solutions of this problem an application will be developed using the Tabu Search meta-heuristics

7. USO SUSTENTÁVEL DA SERRA DE ITABAIANA: PRESERVAÇÃO OU ECOTURISMO / SUSTAINABLE USE OF THE ITABAIANA HILL: PRESERVATION OR ECOTURISMO
This study presents the results of research that consisted of the verification of potentialities and perspectives on the practice of ecotourism activities at Itabaiana Hill, and considers the institutional, legal, economical, ecological, and cultural dimensions of its sustainability. Itabaiana Hill is a Conservation Unit in the phase of implementation as an

8. Regional cerebral blood flow during volitional expiration in man: a comparison with volitional inspiration.
1. Positron emission tomographic (PET) imaging of regional cerebral blood flow (rCBF), using a new 3-dimensional technique of data collection, was used to identify areas of neuronal activation associated with volitional inspiration and separately with volitional expiration in five normal male subjects. A comparison of the activated areas was also undertaken
