1. Bilateral Atraumatic Patellar Ligament Rupture- Case Report

2. Serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D levels in patients with Granulomatosis with Polyangiitis: association with respiratory infection
OBJECTIVES: To determine the possible association of serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D (25OHD) levels with disease activity and respiratory infection in granulomatosis with polyangiitis patients during two different periods: winter/spring and summer/autumn. METHODS: Thirty-two granulomatosis with polyangiitis patients were evaluated in the winter/spring, and the s

3. Granulomatosis with polyangiitis, a new nomenclature for Wegener's Granulomatosis - Case report
AbstractThe granulomatosis with polyangiitis, initially known as Wegener's granulomatosis, is a small and medium vessels vasculitis. It's classic form presents a triad: necrotizing granuloma of respiratory tract, necrotizing cutaneous vasculitis and glomerulonephritis. This vasculitis has cytoplasmic antineutrophil antibodies as signal. This work illustrates

4. Wegener Granulomatosis: Otologic Manifestation as First Symptom
Introduction Wegener granulomatosis is a systemic vasculitis affecting small and medium-sized vessels of the upper and lower respiratory tract and kidneys.
Objective To describe a case of Wegener disease with atypical manifestation.
Resumed Report We describe the case of a

5. Study of microvascular thrombosis in lung biopsies of patients with Wegeners granulomatosis / Estudo da trombose microvascular em biópsias pulmonares de pacientes com granulomatose de Wegener
Wegeners granulomatosis (GW) is associated with thromboembolic events. In this work, we quantified the thrombus in small/medium-sized pulmonary arteries of patients with GW (n:24) compared to normal controls (n:16). The results showed that the GW and control arteries were similar regarding total area. The thrombus area was significantly increased in GW compa

6. Wegener's granulomatosis simulated by a T cell lymphoma of the lung
A case of primary T cell lymphoma of the lung associated with antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibody simulated Wegener's granulomatosis, the patient having features compatible with but not diagnostic of Wegener's granulomatosis.

7. Florid xanthelasmata (yellow lids) in orbital Wegener's granulomatosis.
AIMS--A new sign of florid xanthelasmata is described in four male patients with orbital manifestations of Wegener's granulomatosis. METHODS--The case notes of four patients with Wegener's granulomatosis, with orbital involvement accompanied by yellow lid lesions, are reviewed. RESULTS--All the patients had active Wegener's granulomatosis at the time the lid

8. Strawberry gums: a clinicopathological manifestation diagnostic of Wegener's granulomatosis?
AIMS--To highlight an uncommon but characteristic gingival lesion associated with Wegener's granulomatosis, emphasising the presence of pseudoepitheliomatous hyperplasia, microabscesses, and multinucleate giant cells; and the paucity of the currently accepted histopathological criteria of Wegener's granulomatosis--namely necrosis, vasculitis, and granulomata

9. Horner's syndrome in Wegener's granulomatosis: report of four cases.
Four patients with active Wegener's granulomatosis had Horner's syndrome, which was the only neurological involvement in one. Two others had multiple mononeuropathy and one a multiple cranial neuropathy. Horner's syndrome occurred in the active stage and improved with treatment of Wegener's granulomatosis.

10. Indolent Wegener's granulomatosis.
Classical Wegener's granulomatosis is a relentlessly progressive and rapidly fatal disease. A pulmonary 'limited form' is associated with a much better prognosis. We report 3 cases of Wegener's granulomatosis which ran a prolonged indolent course despite major manifestations outside the lower respiratory tract and review the literature on survival.

11. Wegener's granulomatosis and the heart.
Three cases of Wegener's granulomatosis with cardiac complications are described and the relevant published reports are reviewed. The first case of Wegener's granulomatosis was associated with aortic regurgitation and required aortic valve replacement. The second and third cases were associated with pericardial disease requiring pericardiectomy for construct

12. Wegener's granulomatosis: isolated involvement of the trachea and larynx.
A 26 year old man with subacute hoarseness and stridor was shown to have Wegener's granulomatosis isolated to the trachea and larynx. Although isolated laryngeal Wegener's is unusual, a review of the literature suggests that early treatment with cyclophosphamide is warranted.
